Ring Magazine is exactly what it claims... the Bible Of Boxing. Every boxing fan that is even half-way serious acknowledges that the Ring's rankings are the only ones that matter. In a confusing world of alphabet-soup organizations offering myriad belts for the same division, it's good to know that there's one, non-partisan place to look for boxing info. Ordinarily, I'd balk at the expensive price tag, but the Ring Magazine is truly legendary, and remains so to this day. Also, it renders the acqquisition of any other boxing periodical superfluous. Now THAT'S value. As for the length of time it takes to get the subscription started: that's Amazon's issue, not the magazines. Smart money says if you're in a hurry, order Ring Magazine directly from the publisher, and simply by-pass Amazon dot com. In their defense, Amazon dot com is very forthright in telling you up-front that it'll be X amount of time before your subscription will begin. As with any on-line purchase, apply the caveat, "READ THE SMALL PRINT!" I'm pleased with Amazon and will continue to do business with them, and as for the RING? I'll renew 'til the cows come home.

I recieved only two magazines and haven't got another ring mag in months. If I want the issues that I ordered but do not recieve I have to go find it at a store and buy it.
